The Cleveland Institute of Art is one of the nation’s leading independent colleges of art and design. Recognizing the importance of the visual arts in society, the Institute strives to make enduring contributions in education, research and service. We are seeking a Technical Services Specialist to provide assistance to academic and administrative areas.
Primary responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will have knowledge of general computer lab management practices and procedures; Apple Macintosh operating system and related hardware; Microsoft Windows operating system and products; Adobe CC software; networking hardware and software; and Apple Remote Desktop, Deploy studio, and WinClone.
This position also requires initiative to stay current with technology relating to job focus; excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with individuals of varying technical knowledge; ability to work cooperatively in a team setting; ability to provide supervisory functions within computer labs; deep interest in and motivation to seek out and evaluate new technologies. Ideal candidate will have one to two years experience in a similar position, preferably in an academic environment, or one year experience with education and/or training in the areas of Apple and PC hardware, software, and networking.
This position also requires the employee to utilize a cell phone for after hours support.
