The game design industry is constantly evolving, and CIA’s students are on the edge of the newest technologies and gaming tactics. This weekend, the Great Lakes Science Center will host our students for the Game Design Spring Show, as they present their amazing work. The exhibition reception is tomorrow, Apr. 25, from 1-3pm. Studying in another country enables you to explore other cultures to enhance your social, academic, and professional interests, or just have a grand adventure!
Cleveland Institute of Art students are encouraged to do a summer or semester experience after sophomore year. Faculty help students choose courses so the work completed will apply toward the CIA degree. In addition, a study abroad advisor provides information sessions on preparation for study abroad, specific overseas programs, financial planning, and security and safety. Individual advising allows students to review a number of program options and choose the one that will meet their goals.
CIA has formal exchange programs with universities in France, Germany, and Japan. We also work with dozens of US and overseas-based organizations and universities to identify programs around the world that will satisfy the interests of students who want to spend a summer, semester, or year abroad.
Programs can include studio, liberal arts, or art history courses or something completely outside the usual scope of art and design. During the past two years, students from a variety of majors have studied in:
