Reviewing the column at right, there are a total of four categories that include Visual Arts, Design, Integrated Media and Craft. Underneath those categories are a total of 15 subcategories, or more specifically art and design disciplines.
Enter One Category Only
You can only choose to submit artwork within one category. For example, if you choose the Visual Arts category, then you can only submit up to four jpegs of drawings, installations, paintings, prints, or sculptures. The same rule applies to the Design and Craft categories, as well. However, please note that if you submit artwork to the Integrated Media category that you may only choose to upload work for one of those disciplines (Animation, Illustration, Photography, or Video/Film) as different upload procedures apply to each.
We wanted to keep it simple and have made the upload requirements the same for thirteen of the fifteen disciplines. With the exception of Animation and Video/Film, all other disciplines require that you upload 1-4 jpegs of your work.
Please note that you must register for the contest and submit your artwork at the same time.
Entry requirements do allow participants to work together on projects. See the '2D3D Prizes' section on the Competition Guidelines page to learn more about how prizes are structured when there is more than one participant working together on one or more entries. For collaborative projects, the Participation Agreement and Release Form must be completed and uploaded to the registration form.
Unless you're submitting content for Animation or Video/Film (see below), you will be required to upload images of your artwork using our artwork upload feature.
You can submit up to four jpegs with our upload tool. Here are some scenarios you may want to consider.
