TouchEdit was created by Dan Lebental, editor of major hollywood films including Iron Man, Elf, and Cowboys and Aliens. His vision for the app is to bring some of the vintage film editing and handling techniques to the iPad by enabling editing with finger touch commands. Edit full HD H.264 video or other media that can be brought in from iPad Photos, iTunes Sharing or Dropbox with accurate frames and timecode. Create multiple project files and even add more than one sequence to your project. TouchEdit manages your files so you can film and edit for different assignments. Add up to 8 tracks of sound that can be imported from your iPad music library. Export QuickTime videos and a FCPXML project file that can be opened in Final Cut X to resume editing. TouchEdit also has sophisticated editing capabilities found in Final Cut X such as roll, ripple, mark in and out points, fine trimming for start and end of clips, and a scrollable visual timeline.
TouchEdit is available for $49.99 in the iTunes Store.
