Library . National Library Week Wrap-up
Thanks to everyone who participated in our National Library Week activities! We had fifty people try to guess how many books we have in the library. The winner, Margaret Schrecongost, guessed 46,000, and the actual number on Monday of that week was 46,265! Three other people guessed within 1000.
The first Book Cart Relay Race was held indoors due to rain, but the event was a ton of fun!! We had six teams of four competing. Congratulations to the first place team consisting of James Dimengo, Chris Eades, Michael Roth and Vincent Marazita! One faculty member raced and the staff team came in third.
On Friday, we held the Third Annual All Instrument Music Jam in the library. This event grows every year, and is thoroughly enjoyed by all who attend! We had 12-14 musicians, 2 dancers, and several spectators/hand clappers.
Thanks to all our wonderful patrons for showing up and making the week so much fun. The Library Staff can’t wait for next year’s celebration!
