Library . How Do You Look?
“How Do You Look?” is a project to promote and understand visual literacy. It is sponsored by the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University and the Duke libraries. Begin in the top left corner with Jaume Plensa's installation Glückauf?, 2004, for the basic steps of how to look at an image or an object. The home page displays several different types of art, from painting to multimedia. Clicking on any of these will display additional suggestions for viewing objects of that particular medium. The site includes lots of links to more information, and to some helpful writing guides. Go to the site and explore!
